What I collect when you visit this site or write to me, why I collect it, how long I keep it and how you can ask me to change or delete it.

Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Daniele Barbaro, trading as Plin Code, VAT number IT13167130015. You can reach me at me@plincode.tech for anything in this notice.
This notice covers www.plincode.tech in English and Italian.
When you write to me through the contact form
The form asks for the following data, and I receive nothing else from you:
- your name and email address;
- the service you are asking about;
- an order of magnitude of the budget, only on the fixed price branch of the rates page, where it is optional;
- your message.
I use them to read your request, answer it and prepare a proposal if you ask for one. The form also sends an automatic confirmation to your email address. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR, article 6, paragraph 1, letter b). You are not obliged to write to me, but without these data I cannot answer.
I keep the exchange for as long as it takes to answer you and, if no work follows, for up to 12 months in case you come back to the same topic, then I delete it. If we sign a contract, I keep what the accounting and tax rules require for the period they require.
Your message travels through Resend, which delivers the emails for me, and through Vercel, which hosts the site. Both act on my behalf. I do not sell your data and I do not use it for newsletters or marketing. If I ever wanted to, I would ask you separately first.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens I rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as the standard contractual clauses.
Spam protection on the form
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads only when you click into one of the form fields, not when a page opens. When it runs, Cloudflare receives technical data from your browser and your IP address to tell a person from a bot, and I get back a pass or fail result.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse (GDPR, article 6, paragraph 1, letter f). If you never click into the form, Turnstile never loads.
Visit statistics
I measure visits with Umami Cloud, a statistics service that works without cookies. It counts which pages are read, where visitors come from, which country, browser and device they use, and a few actions such as clicking the button to book a call or sending the contact form. It stores nothing on your device and I do not use it to identify you or to follow you across other sites.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it. I only look at aggregate figures. Umami Software provides the service and processes these data for me; I do not state here where its servers are, because I cannot verify it from the site itself.
Cookies and similar technologies
I do not use profiling cookies, advertising pixels, social widgets or embedded maps, and the fonts are served from this site. For this reason there is no cookie banner. Two technical items remain:
- a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you chose;
- your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser storage. It never leaves your device.
Both exist only to make the site work as you asked and do not need your consent. If you use the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile may also store technical information in your browser to do its job.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver the pages and keep them secure, the host handles technical data about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested and the date and time. I do not use these logs to build a profile of you.
Your rights
You can ask me for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how I use it, to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on my legitimate interest. Write to me@plincode.tech and I will answer within one month.
If you think I am handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes to this notice
If what I do with data changes, I update this page and the date at the top.
